The Hearth of Home Learning
These Terms & Conditions outline how tuition is provided by The Hearth of Home Learning. They are designed to keep expectations clear, fair, and respectful for everyone involved.
1. Tuition service
The Hearth of Home Learning provides one-to-one educational support tailored to each learner. Sessions are delivered online using agreed platforms.Tuition is supportive and educational in nature. While every effort is made to help learners progress, specific academic outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
2. Booking and payment
Sessions must be booked in advance. Payment is required before a session or as agreed when block booking. Missed or unpaid sessions may result in future bookings being paused.
3. Cancellation and rescheduling
Scheduled sessions reserve dedicated time. To protect availability and fairness to all learners, at least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or change a session.
Requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the session being counted as delivered and charged in full.
If an alternative time within the same week is genuinely available, the session may be rescheduled at discretion. This is not guaranteed and depends entirely on schedule availability.
Block-booked sessions cannot be shortened or split at short notice
4. Parent or guardian involvement
For learners under 18, a parent or guardian is responsible for booking sessions, communication, and payment. Information relating to learners is handled with care, and communication is directed through parents or guardians where appropriate.
5. Safeguarding and conduct
Sessions are delivered in a professional, respectful environment. Any inappropriate behaviour, persistent disruption, or misuse of the session may result in termination of tuition. The Hearth of Home Learning reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service where necessary to maintain a safe and respectful learning space.
6. Technology and access
Families are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and suitable device for online sessions. The Hearth of Home Learning is not responsible for disruptions caused by technical issues outside its control, but reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule if needed.
7. Privacy and data handling
Personal information is handled according to the Privacy Policy. Only information necessary for delivering tuition is collected and protected.
8. Changes to terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated occasionally to reflect changes in service or legal requirements. Continued use of the service indicates acceptance of the current terms.
